Clay/New Interest District, Randolph Co., WV [Pages 217A-228C] 134 Families are in the Census Enumeration of the Clay/New Interest District, 10 of the are Chenoweth families [3 by Chenoweth Surname] and another 16 households have a present or future in-law relationship to the family. This district was located east of present day Elkins [not founded until 1889] extending north to Montrose. The eastern extention includes Canfield across the mountain to the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River.
